Bio

Dr. Alaaeldin Amin is a consultant cardiologist with extensive experience in interventional cardiology. He graduated with honors from Cairo University in 2005 and subsequently joined the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Cairo University in 2007 to begin his three-year internship.
In 2012, he obtained a Master’s degree in Cardiovascular Medicine after completing a thesis on the impact of glycaemic status on the severity of coronary artery disease. As an assistant lecturer, he continued his academic and clinical training, enrolling in the Doctorate degree program in Cardiovascular Medicine.
Dr. Alaaeldin Amin joined the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Cairo University Hospitals in 2011 as an interventional fellow, where he received comprehensive training in coronary interventions. Following the completion of his Doctorate training fellowship, he became proficient in performing coronary interventions as a primary operator, including:
Complex radial interventions, including left main PCI, bifurcation techniques, and antegrade chronic total occlusion (CTO) PCI strategies
Primary PCI for acute coronary syndromes
Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasty, with significant hands-on experience (50 cases in 2017)
His expertise extends to the use of adjunctive imaging and physiological assessment tools, including Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), and mechanical thrombectomy devices (AngioJet).
Dr. Alaaeldin Amin has worked as an interventional consultant at several high-volume centers, where he has performed PCI across a wide range of clinical presentations. He was also appointed coordinator of the left main intervention program at Aswan Heart Centre and played a key role in auditing the CTO intervention program.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Alaaeldin Amin has a strong academic background with several international publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has also been an active contributor to major international cardiology conferences, particularly EuroPCR, where he has delivered multiple oral presentations on interventional techniques and advancements in the field.
