What is the best moment of your career so far?

The most defining moment of my career has been a shift in perspective-from seeing cardiology as a field of rescue to recognizing its potential as a field of transformation. As an interventional cardiologist, we are trained to act decisively in moments of crisis. But over time, I realized that the true opportunity lies upstream-before the event, before the plaque rupture, before the first symptom. Stepping into a leadership role allowed me to begin shaping systems of care that prioritize not only procedural excellence but also prevention, awareness, and long-term behavioral change. That realization continues to redefine my purpose in medicine.

What do you love doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I invest my time in practices that enhance clarity and resilience-meditation, yoga, and studying the science of human well-being. I also enjoy creating educational content to bridge the gap between complex cardiology and everyday understanding. These pursuits are not separate from my profession-they are extensions of how I believe healthcare should evolve.

What is something people don't know about you?

Something people don't know about me is that I rely heavily on meditation as a daily anchor. My Kriya yoga practice through Isha Foundation has significantly enhanced my focus, clarity, and composure in high-pressure situations in the cath lab, and I believe it's a powerful tool more physicians can benefit from.

If you could ask the entire IC community one question, what would it be?

What if the next major breakthrough in cardiovascular outcomes does not come from a new device or drug-but from how effectively we address stress, behavior, and human consciousness alongside our interventions?
