Tell us about yourself.

I am an Interventional Cardiologist specializing in the care of patients with complex and high-risk coronary artery disease and cardiogenic shock. I currently serve as the Director of Interventional Cardiology, the Complex Coronary Therapeutics Program, and the Mechanical Circulatory Support/ECMO Programs at Overlake Medical Center & Clinics in Bellevue, WA. I focus on the treatment of coronary chronic total occlusions, multivessel coronary artery disease (including patients turned down for CABG surgery), atherectomy, and those in need of mechanical circulatory support.

I was born in Knoxville, TN and completed my undergraduate education at Furman University with a degree in Chemistry. I attended medical school at the University of Virginia and completed residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington. I then completed my Cardiology fellowship at Wake Forest University, during which I obtained a Master's degree in Clinical and Population Translational Science. I then returned to the University of Washington to complete my Interventional Cardiology fellowship, followed by the first ever advanced fellowship in Complex, High-Risk, and Indicated PCI and Hemodynamic Support before starting a large high-risk PCI program at Christ Hospital in Ohio. I was recently recruited back to Seattle where I now serve as the Director of Interventional Cardiology and the Complex Coronary Therapeutics Program at Overlake Medical Center. I am very active in clinical research and enjoy speaking at national and international meetings.

What are you most passionate about?

Fly fishing, hiking with my family, smoking meat, and college football.

What would you like your colleagues to know about you?

I love my job. But I love my family (and fly fishing) more!
