2025's March spotlight is Dr. Shahab Moossavi! What they would like to know about the community is: Wouldn't it be nice to brainstorm to come up with the interventional cardiology procedures that eventually nobody gets any radiation. Any solutions? Reply here.

Tell us about yourself.

Currently working at Concord Hospital in Concord New Hampshire which is a community-based hospital. I completed my fellowship in University of Vermont Medical Center. Fellowship in University of Vermont gave me the opportunity to do significant number of peripheral vascular interventions with vascular surgery as well as structured cases with interventional cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery. This was an excellent training programs which gave me the foundations to bring this skill set to Concord Hospital and develop programs for structural cardiology, PE and integrated vascular clinic.

What are you most passionate about?

When I am not doing procedures or taking calls I would like to spend time with my family and young kids.
An excellent outcome of coronary or the structural cases makes me smile. What makes me happy is to be able to spend some time with my family on vacation.

What would you like your colleagues to know about you?

There are many procedures that can be done safely with excellent care in community hospitals.

What is your favorite quote?

"Hope is not a strategy and luck is not a factor." By James Cameron. Obviously I do not know the author at a personal level. Having said that this is an extremely meaningful quote for interventional cardiologist for good planning ahead of time for complex procedures.
