Tell us about yourself.
I have worked for the University of Illinois Chicago for the past 20 years. I also have an appointment at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. My current duties are split between my interventional practice and my role as the Clinical Chief of Cardiology. I completed my medical degree from the University of Chicago. I did my medicine residency and chief residency at the University of Michigan. I received my General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology training at the Beth Israel - Deaconess Medical Center. During that time, I completed a MPH in Clinical Effectiveness at the School of Public Health.
What are you most passionate about?
My family tells me that I have too many passions so I will keep this brief. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a foodie for sure. I enjoy spending time outdoors either hiking/biking/skiing/running/golfing. A good Rom-Com can always make me smile.
What would you like your colleagues to know about you?
Working as an interventional cardiologist is a tremendous honor. I enjoy working with my colleagues on writing projects and organizing meetings. I credit SCAI as the organization that gave me a chance to get involved in our profession and my work with SCAI has provided me with a great sense of satisfaction personally and professionally.
