2024's November spotlight is Dr. Giorgio A. Medranda! Their question for the community is: How can we improve for our patients and for our families? Reply here.

Tell us about yourself.

I am currently a board-certified Structural Interventional Cardiologist and Clinical Assistant Professor, NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, receiving medical school training at Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. I previously completed my Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at NYU Langone Hospital - Long Island, followed by a two-year Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Career and research interests center on coronary/structural interventions and radiation safety.

What are you most passionate about?

I am most passionate about my family and strongly believe in maintaining a life-work balance (including a wife-work balance lol). Seeing my son makes me smile the most! My favorite hobbies include baseball, music (piano), and landscape photography all of which I am eagerly waiting to teach my son!

What would you like your colleagues to know about you?

I'm human. This is the best field in the world but it has many challenges. We have to learn from and support each other as much as possible in order to become the best versions of ourselves we can be!
